1983 185s

ok, put an ebay 200x carb on my 185s, runs fine, starts first pull everytime, but it smokes, but its almost invisible to the eye, and it almost looks white? anybody kno what this could be? rings maybe? also, decompression cable? how does this work and where could I get one?

I put a 200x ebay carb on my 81 185s today. Started right up. Only problem is the slow jet is a little to rich and the main jet is a little lean. But I have aftermarket filter and exhaust and a 200 top end
Mine was black smoking a little at idle from the slow jet being to big.

all mine has is a uni filter, and a new plug and oil change, but after i rode it some, it went dead when i got in my driveway, and when i tried to restart it, it had no compression and was making a clank clank clank noise....
