185 oil problem

i was working on my step bros 185 and i fired it up with one of the valve covers off and it wasent spaying oil out the top like it should theres the right amount of oil in it dose this motor have an internal pump i dont feel like pulling apart the motor with out knowing whats wrong first and i cant run it with no oil getting to the head

CHECK THE MANUAL!!!!!!!! Yes, there is an internal oil pump. It is behind the right side clutch cover, and located in the centrifigal clutch. Remember, the centrifigal clutch nut - if needed to remove - is reverse threaded. Dont forget to look in the manual.
