:(Howdy yall heres the scoop

I picked up a 84 atc70 from a neaibor down the road for 50 bucks its got everything there. Just doesnt run. The guy said its got a stuck gear. I brought it home , he had the engine out of her with the clutch off and a plate with 3 ball bearings in it. The bike will not shift out of neutral. Ive heard this cna be fixed by replacing an arm behind the clutch?Anyone know ? HELP PLEASE

yes, it is called a stopper arm. they are less than $10. it is on the top left side behind the big gear. they go bad now and then and are not to hard to change if you have a socket for the nut that holds on the clutch basket.

I have grabbed the neutral indicator shaft with vice grips and popped it back into gear before. It's certainly not the right way to do it, but it does work if you have to get it moving. It would happen from time to time. Once the oil was changed it never did it again.
