Help w/Assembly - 86 350X

How does the spring (pad) install in the 86 350X front caliper (86 only)? I put it in the way I think it should go, but it seems that the little tab in the center is scraping the edge of the rotor as it turns. Is it supposed to?

I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be scraping anything. Possible its backwards or upside down?

Sounds upside down or not fully seated.
