I have a question for you 200x owners. I have been throwing around the idea of selling my 185s and buying a 200x. My question: is the 200x going to have a more significant amount of power that my 185? I am just looking for something with a little more get-up-and-go.

Thanks

Yes, It has more CC's, a better cam, they are quite a bit quicker and the suspension is nice.

i second that comment, ive had both and the 200X is quicker. if i remember the 185 correctly the 200x seems like its bigger too, maybe more reach to the bars or something...i dunno long time since the 185 youll know when you go test drive one

Compared to your 185, a 200x is completely different beast; better suspension, handling, and alot quicker too!! When I bought my first 200X, I was amazed how much power it had as compared to any other 200cc trike I was used to. The 200x in my opinion, is the greatest handling trike made.

I did the auto x conversion while I am rebuilding my X motor. It feels faster than the 200s the motor came out of. I think its partly due to the ability to ride faster on account of the suspension. The 200x platform does feel bigger to me too. Ill never have anything without suspension again. LOL

they are 2 completely different bikes, the 185 is a trail rider and mosey around bike (compair it to a hog bike). the 200x is a sport bike (like a 750 kawi street racer). it's ninble, responsive, nearly 2Xs faster and requires a lot more effort to ride it when steering in hard corners ant high speeds and such as a sport bike. it's a racer style trike. it was Honda's main MX trike. so keep that in mind. if your looking for just more power and not more different style riding, then get a 200S or even move to a 250sx. but a 200x will be a big change. also it's manual clutch Vs. your semi-auto so if you if you are goign slow in hills it tends to be a bit more difficult to clutch it than a semi-auto is.

if it were me, I'd keep the 185 AND buy a 200x. that way you can fun ride or performance romp when you want.

my 200x is bigger than my brothers S by a nice amount..
my brothers 200s will run right with me aslong as its flat and straight....but on the s it feels as though u may be bucked at any moment lol
i have heard that a 185 is faster than a 200s..but the 200s has more torque....

I would, but money is kind of a problem...

I agree with oscarmayer. Additionally, to both a 185s and 200x I've got an Auto. I'll offer that when you put a 185 motor in the same frame as a 200x there is not that much difference. could you find a 200x roller and transplant the motor? Just an idea.

The only problem the 1st gen 200X have is the kicker gears slipping. So in some ways the Auto-X is a great way to go. I'm turning my 200X into an Auto-X soon. Also its better if you want to let people learn to ride since there is no clutch. The 200X has great suspension, compared to the 185 it will feel way better at speed on the trails. Depending on the condition of your 185 an AutoX could be a good way to go if you could find a 200X roller for cheap.

No, my 185s is way too nice to butcher. I could probably get $450-500 for it. What is a fair deal for a 200x in nice condition. I also wouldn't mind if it needed a little work, but not basket cases.
