I dont know squat about the yamahas, my cousin has a YT175 and he is having clutch issues. From what he is telling me, the trike itself doesnt have a manual clutch, instead it has a semi-automatic like the big reds and etc... what the problem is is that if you put it in gear it wants to go right away, if your riding and you let off the throttle it wont just continue to run while in gear and sitting still, it wants to die out like a manual clutch clutch would if you released the throttle without pulling in the clutch. Im not sure if any of this makes sense but this is the information that was supplied to me. He says that he pulled the clutch apart and that the plates and the springs were perfectly fine. Also said that the basket was in good shape as well. Do you guys have any ideas as to what the problem could be? He's hounding me to figure it out for him so he can ride, hes just a youngin and sure likes the trikes so i wanna help him out the best i can. Thanks in advance guys and sorry for the long post!

The manual is here. Sounds like an simple adjustment. The YT175 clutch has to be adjusted by taking a cover off the engine. Its right behind the cover on the right side of the bike, behind the O/I pump cover. Hope that helps.
