How many 87 250sx where made?

Been searching for awhile on here, does anyone know the production numbers of the 87 250sx? Think I may have found one and just wanted to know how many are around.

There have been a few threads talking about production numbers (such as this one), (http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php?115648-How-many-made&highlight=production+numbersheres) but they always seem to skip the 1987 250SX.

The way those production numbers were calculated is by subtracting the final VIN number from the first VIN number using a site such as www.cyclepartsnation.com (http://www.cyclepartsnation.com).

If you check that site, it lists the VIN range numbers for many models, unfortunately the 1987 250SX is not one of them:

i also have a 87 seems to be a nice bike not sure of the other years or are all years the same?

Maybe those with 87 250SX's can post their VIN - we can use the highest-posted number as an estimate that will tell us the minimum that were produced...

When i bought my 87 from the original owner, he told me that the dealer only had 2 for sale in fall 2006 and he sold them the same day and this was it. (quebec dealers).
