mods are generally per a riders style. Not all mods will work for all riders. And trail mods will not work well for certain riding terrains. So you really have to figure out what you will be riding the most and mod to that scenario. Then of course your suspension is 20+ years old so any improvements to that are a real big plus. Just rebuilding your rear shock back to stock specs can do wonders. Fresh seals and fork oil can do wonders as well. Depending on your size you may want to find a different spring for your rear shock. There are just too many factors for an easy answer. Also a good idea to make sure all bearings are fresh and up to snuff. You may also want to seriously think about removing your swingarm bolt and freshen up everything inside of their. Until you really have a decent base to start from, then it's also hard to tell where you want to go. Once you get your suspension back to fresh stock and have properly working brakes and stuff, then get some riding time under your belt and then see which direction you want to go.

while where talking about suspension, i was wondering if there's if a shock/spring set up for the 200x? i'm almost positive my shock is bad no madder who sits on it it drops all the way down and my buddy just picked up a yamaha 225dx and it has the shock with a spring around it and i though for my size that would work a lot better
