i bought a 250r for 150 bucks i havent looked at it yet so i dont know what year it is and neither does the owner. the 81 and 82 had the shock almost up and down straight and this one isnt so im thinking its either an 83 or 84. but i got a good deal on the bike its all there and its going to be an awesome restore project and it should dominate the ice track next winter.:naughty: what do you guys think?

I think the 81-82's had a red engine, and the 83-84's went to black.

The 83-84's also had the resi for the rear shock mounted on the left side of the frame where your leg goes down.

81-82 adjust the chain in the frame ... 83-84 is with the bearing carrier
