185s question

I have a question. Is it possible to put a 200x bottom end with a 185s top end? I am wondering because it would be fun to have a clutch. thanks

If you wanted less cc's and power and to keep the slipping kicker gears that would work. Better off putting the 200X top end on the 185 bottom end. If you got a good 200X engine with a worn out top end, just rebuild it. The 200X top end has a better cylinder head and piston for more power. There is an XR200 dirt bike that some people have combined parts with to eliminate the week 200X kicker gears and keep a manual clutch. But not exactly sure on which parts are needed.

^^If he put the 200x top end on the 185s bottom end, he wouldn't get the manual clutch he is looking for. The 185s top end will work with the 200x bottom end as far as I know. I haven't heard of anybody doing that swap, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
