I have one like you describe, I think.

You're putting a 185 in an x frame and want to know how to beef up the 185 auto clutches?

Adjust the clutch, use the correct oil for auto clutch.

The only additives I know of will make them worse.

Unless, of course, you want to toss some new parts at it.

Lord knows, I've tried and tried to kill my clutches but they seem to take
whatever I can throw at them.

had an auto-x for a short time until we realized the crank was toast ended up basically giving the bike to a buddy to fix up his 200x.

I just done an auto x conversion. I was going to do it temporarily until I get the 200x motor rebuilt. But with all of the kicker issues i have been reading about latley, I must say I have been thinking about leaving it.

I have one and I love it, you can do so much more with the bike now then befor. The only down fall to the conversion is that you have to make up some kind of back brake pedal and if you want to use the 200m engine with electric start you have to cut alittle out of the front down tube to clear the starter. But it makes it really nice when you come out to your bike and push a botton and its running

I was just about to start my auto-x project... >Hillbilly 200x - Good tip about cutting the downtube for the electric start. I'm going to use an M engine also. Did you use the wiring and electrics from the 200x or from the M?

i used the wiring from the 200m as it was two more wires going out of the boddem end

Still a wheelie machine? thanks. my autox is in need of a freshing up bad it only was 90psi compression but still runes just as fast as it did with the x engine. I think that it is more fun to ride now then it was befor and best of all my girl freind can get on it and ride it to. lol Every high proformance topend part for the X will bolt on to, to any auto 200

:(86 200SX PARTS OR MOTER wont fit in the83-85 200x it should fit a 86-87 200x not sure yet havent got to that project yet:rolleyes: but any 185, 200, will bolt right in 83-85x :cool:the exeption is the electric stat moters need the frame mod on the front downtube to clear the starter , on the autox's that i have done i use the harness from the doner bike but the stock harness can work if sligthly changed, the brake pedal from the doner will work just drill it out ,bend, shorten to your liking ,good luck, enjoy !!:D:beer
