I have finished my 250r resto,I receive the heat shiel to complete the job, here is the result.I was looking for a 3rd gen for about 3 years, they are near impossible to find here in quebec, except if you was to spend 2500$ on a machine that need work.I was planning to go down to the US to buy one next summer, but finnaly I found this one 5 minutes from my house.... I paid 600$ for it,motor was locked up,was sitting in a garage for about 15 years...with another motor for partsThe total cost is about 1400$ finished, not so bad. Most of the motor is new, piston, rod, bearing, plastic all around,tires,filter......
Thanks to the member that help me to find the parts needed

Very nice looking machine...and only 5 mins from your house too! Did you know about it at all or did the person finally sell it?

Nice! I wish I could find one that close! I've only seen one for sale once and the guy was selling it 4000$! Even if it was really clean, there's no way I could afford that. Great job on the resto too.
Where are you in Quebec? I'm in Rouyn-Noranda, Abitibi-Temiscamingue.
