my new to me 85 250R with mystery swing arm

just picked this thing up yesterday,seems to have a fresh rebuild with a FMF gold series pipe and a FMF fatty silencer,but this thing is loud and I love it! I have some tuning to do,it seems to be running really rich and some other minor stuff. If anybody knows what that swing arm is please let me know.117833117838117837117836117835

i think i have that exact same swinger and i have no idea what it is either. mine is plus 4 what is yours?

the guy I got it from said it was an8 inch extended swing arm. It is a simple looking piece, I just really want to know if I should go back to a stock unit. It looks too well made to be a home made part. Sorry for the crappy pics,we havent seen the sun here in quite some time. This trike was too good of a deal to pass up even though the last thing I need is another project.

Unless you're planning on dragging it, I would ditch that swinger for a stock piece. Can't tell from your pics but it looks to me like your baffle is missing from your silencer, which would account for it being so loud. I would try mixing some fresh gas up and see how it does, the last guy may have simply mixed too much oil in the gas which would cause it to run rich. Also, those spider tracs are going to kill your rear bearings.... but a good looking ride none-the-less.
