can someone help me out with my idle problem? at first, the idling is ok. it is actually set so you have to give it some throttle every couple of seconds when not moving, but ive noticed that after riding the trike for 30 minutes or so, the idling becomes excessively high.

my trike is an 83 185s.

ive already taken the carb off, apart, and cleaned it. (there was no build up inside to begin with). and i know how to adjust the idling screw, but like ive said before, its already adjusted. (i adjusted it after letting the engine warm up).

any help would be awesome.

Did you try adjusting the air screw ? Good filter ? Try adjusting your valves also .

Check your plug to see how rich / lean it is running. It almost sounds like it is running really lean.

Maybe you have an air leak somwhere is my guess....spray some starting fluid around all your gaskets and intake area and see if it changes your idle at all...if it does you have an air leak...air leaks will make the idle hang...
