I run ATF in all my 2 strokes, have been for years in my trail rider and race bike. Just make sure its the right stuff, without friction modifers or something like that. El cheapo stuff I change after every race.
Are you riding on flat ground? paved road?

i can be on a paved road that tends to be higher in the middle and be on the right side and the bike pulls so much to the left that it goes over the middle and onto the left side of the road....same thing happens on level surfaces and in dirt....the only time it doesnt pull to the left is when the front wheel isnt touching the floor haha

your forks are out of adjustment first...
and 10w40 is what the book calls, go to walmart and get the cheap stuff. works great for on the budget

Well to be honest you'll want to do alittle more than change oil.
First off, inspect your air filter make sure you wash clean and re oil it, if it's worn bad buy a new one.
Second buy 3 spark plugs, and change out the current one.
Drain and flush out the radiator fluid.
Transmission fluid, drain and inspect the oil.
Buy quality 2 stroke oil, synthetic 40.1 mix on 92 octane.
Small investment but you'll know what u have.
Your local Honda dealer can set u up with everything.
( just buy the Honda products easy & safe )
Also check compression - min 170psi, anything over 200 psi requires race gas. ( on a warm motor )

Is 32:1 okay to run in an 86 250R. All my 2 strokes run 32:1. I assume that I can. I use Maxima Super-M and have never had reliability issues with my Tecate's at that ratio.

170 should NOT be minumum, thts almost fresh rebuild psi... im thinkim 140 pisi is minimum,, and if it runs fine u really dont need to do all those things.

ive already done all of that except the spark plugs and the transmission fluid....im running super m 32:1 i had to drain flush and refill my radiator fluid cause my hose from the back of the motor to the right crank case was blown so i replaced that....im going to get a couple ngk spark plugs and do a full tune up with my buddy this week or weekend....he knows more about 2 strokes than i do hes rebuilt idk how many bikes
