ignition help with ATC 90

I need a little guidance with my 1974 Honda ATC 90 ignition issues,
most of the time no spark and I am checking by holding a spark plug in the coil wire against head and pulling on starter rope.

Looking for someone with experience with these to give some input on what to look for.

Welcome to the board. Post some pics of your beast and consider joining the US90/ATC 90 Group. The first question you will get on here is "do you have a manual?" There is a wealth of info available from members on here but most expect a certain amount of troubleshooting up front. I believe the 74 has points. Have you ever serviced points before?

Great news about the manual. That is a great looking machine. There is a "Group" tab up near the top; click on it and you'll find the US90/ATC 90 group there.

I joined the group thanks for the info.
I found that machine in a basement been there for 15 years. Needs the usual tuneup items.
Who sells quality carb kits?

I wouldnt recomend Ebay they sell cheapo's // But u can still check i guess
