I have found one of each I am having trouble deciding something though.

The DX is 15 mins away from home, real good shape, but as we all know the dx doesnt have reverse guy is askin $725 and wont budge on the price

The DRS is 2 hrs + away, even better shape, guy was asking $1200 but said if i pick it up this week he will go $950.

So I guess is the extra drive/$225 worth it for the DRS. I will be trail riding/usiing it for utility purposes so i think the reverse would be nice to have (backing up a trailer, getting out of sticky situations on the trail ect)

That is really the only difference between the 2 models right? the reverse?

The 86 DR's have bigger diameter forks.

Personally I would never buy a trike for utility that doesn't have reverse. Its great in tight spaces and if you have a trailer well try pushing it backwards. I say go for the DRS.

I would go for the DRS. I consider them half utility half sport. A sort of in between trike. Those 225's move along pretty good and still have your low gear for working it. Front and rear suspension. Reverse is the way to go, I believe they would hold their value better also. Hope it works out well for you! Be safe!!!

me personally I would go for the dx, both are shaft and I ride a lot of trails myself and never seem to have to need reverse, the drs is also a pain to get some of the parts I've heard, whereas the dx is more readily available the choice is ultimately yours and I recommend you do what your heart tells you to do.
