Hi,
looking for new tyres for a '88 Big Red. Planned use is working in the woods, playing in muddy terrain and during winter in the snow. As the BR is road registered the tyres should not mention "Not for Highway use" i.e be road-legal.
The only type available in 25x12-9 at our tyre shop is MAXXIS C828.

Looks better on this picture:

Is this suitable at all, front and rear?
Other recommandations for BR's?

A friend of mine has them on one of those weird lifter golf carts and I have been amazed what it goes through.

And i dont know about your area. but i know that you cant make a quad/trike road legal. Either way you'll be hassled by cops.

Hi,
thank's for the responses on the tyre.
Concerning the year of construction, we bought the ATC yesterday and pick it up tomorrow.
It has a grey seat, was registered in '89 for road use by the first owner. In my little country (Luxembourg) no dealer would put one in his showroom, they where ordered after sale, so I dont think it was very old when bought.
It has a speedometer and is equipped with turn signals , and a rear fog light was added when it got exported and registered in Belgium (mandatory in Belgium).
I will post the VIN once we got it. Pics on my facebook , hit it up (Gabriel Honnert).
I'll have to get an account for picture hosting, once done I'll upload some pictures.
It will have a registration plate, same as the road legal quads. The region is rather rural here, once the cops have seen me a couple of times, they'll know that I'm one of the good old boys and wonth bother me anymore. In 2 years I moved here I've seen a cop car twice :-)). It is pretty near the Belgiun Border, 10km from Bastogne - Band of Brothers, remenber the battle of the Bulge ??
- When I moved here , People around here used to call me "Cold case" because I drive around in a '41 Ford 1/2 ton pick-up truck like in the black-white flashbacks of the TV series, hehehehe.

I know there are several in Europe, I was on my phone and didn't see his location. Pretty sweet that another one has turned up!

I still think seeing ANY pics of an '88, wether they've been discovered or not, is still worthwhile.
