I sold my '85 parts bike to Brockey and I'm just wondering the best way to go about this to save him as much money as possible. The frame still has all the wiring, bolts, and air box in place to ease in shipping and save space, since all of the above doesn't take up any space while its attached to the frame. I will package the swinger, forks, axle, ect in other boxes.

What was the best carrier to use and how did you package it?

This is the first time I have shipped something this big North of the Border.

Any help would be apprieciated.

Keep it under 198" and us USPS. They are way cheaper than UPS or FED EX but that is their box limit. Go to their site and they will describe how to take the measurements. This will be perfect for swingers, axles, forks, ect. As far as the frame itself, Billys trick about leveling them out is as good as it gets. Fed Ex is always cheaper than UPS for me. I have shipped many things to Canada but never a frame. You can shrink wrap anything you want. It does not have to be in a box.

USPS limits you to 108" length + girth on international shipments and 130" on in country. They measure the longest part of the package and then measure around the fattest part and add them together. I think that shrink wrap is the best way, Brockey even suggested that method. I just have to get a good quality shrink wrap now. I think that will be much easier then trying to box it.

A 350X frame costs 80$ to ship to me USPS. Thats not international though.

If it's shrink wrapped and sent FEDEX the last one cost me about 40$..........
