If I buy one of these and hook it up to the battery and fasten it somewhere else on my 250sx will I have a usable 12 volt plug for various electronics ?

Yup, 12V DC is 12V DC, you'd be limited to flashlights, radios etc unless the trike is running and charging in which case you could run a small winch.

There are different SX batteries that have more balls...........
