What should I get? lol Both bikes are very clean and & priced the same. I've never had a 2 stroke trike, just had 350x's, Bigreds, & 200x's.

And is $1700 too much to pay for a clean, clean rider? Both bikes need nothing and are ready to rip

around here 1700 is kind of high, unless it has perfect plastics, new top end, rock solid bottom end....oh and it should always be RED...go honda and you only have to look back to see where the other guy went, other wise you will never look back...lol

Well the reason Honda guys are always seeing RED is because the Yamaha is in front of them! Go with the Yammy!

The reason you guys aren't sweating the green bike is because he already smoked you and is back at the motorhome with a cold drink.. :D:lol:

My personal opinion would be check on the price and availability of parts for either trike, to make your decision as you are going to have to repair them at some point, what will be the cost in the long run, they both are going to give you one hell of a ride, but when it is all said and done what's it going to cost to repair and can you get it still.

Go see them both and buy with your head not your heart!! Then again I don't ride a ducati coz I buy with my head!! I bought her coz my heart said too!!!

So just go get the one that makes you want it the most!!!

Good luck!!

Here is the link so you guys can get a better idea of what I'm dealing with: http://orlando.craigslist.org/rvs/2212351465.html

Also is the Z a 5 speed or 6 speed? The owner says its a 5 speed but isn't an '86 a 6 speed? He is pretty firm on the $2,000 asking price. I was hoping to whip out $1700 and see what he says. Maybe that is too much though.......

that tri z is a 1985.5 so it is 5 speed

I live in the area and those bikes have been up on craigs list a long time. Obviously price has something to do with it or they would have been gone. I myself wouldn't spend that much unless they are mint.

For $2000 u should be able to get one hell of a perfect 250r. And a tri-z better be pretty much OEM original. Seems too high to me. I think u could do better with a little more looking and time. And if u want a faster better suspension and less problem trike go with the R. Not just being a Honda freak, it's proven in all articles, reviews, shoot outs, and write-ups.

screw it buy them both and add on to the garage!!!! lol I prefer the tri-z but I like to trail ride more than race and the triz is more of a rare bike because it had less power in stock form .... not that its a dog by any means imho

If these are a little on the high $$$ price wise can someone please help me find a 250 2 smoke? I would be willing to travel anywhere between Florida to Tennessee. I want something super nice & I'll be willing to spend up to $2,000 depending on the bike. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

That Tri-z is a 1300$ trike IMHO..Sadly, they just don't hold the value.
That R has a aftermarket oversize tank and shrouds. It looks to be pretty clean and has other goodies also.
If that R runs good and smooth and has no mechanical issues, engine cases are good etc, it is a 1500-1700$ trike around these parts.
I would go look at that one.

I own both. The R is a far superior machine over a Z.
Way more parts for the R too.

They both look nice. I really like the rear rims on them. Ride them both and decide which one you want. Try to talk him down first though.
