Really its not that hard, especially forks. Get some wetsand sand paper in grits ranging from 400-1500. Then crack a beer sit down and start sanding with the heavier grit first then work your way up to the 1200-1500. By this time its looking real nice. Then get your self a cheap Harbor Freight Buffing wheel and compound set-up and go at it. I really like doing every single part of my bikes when I do them, it gives you a lot of gratification. Paint, motor , polishing spoking rims it all just takes a little reading and a lot of trying. Just another skill to put under your man belt.

That last comment maked me curious. What does this company charge for a set of forks or anyone that has used them. What did you have polished and how much did it cost? Sometimes it would be nice to send something out that would take me to long to do.

My question is when you polish aluminum or stainless what is the up keep like? How oftern do you have to buff it and should you seal it? This is assuming you are a rider....I ride all my bikes and don't avoid puddles.
^^ If you are a rider, you have to re apply mothers after every washing, or ride to keep the shine up.
At least here in the muddier states.

I wouldn't recommend polishing if your riding in mud, sand is ok but that's it or a show bike.

I had greg polish the forks on my BR and I mud the crap out of it... Had them back to me in a week, and prices were so good, when they look like total crap again, I will just send them back to have him shine them up again...
