Will break fluid eat through a fuel line?

I want to replace the line that runs from my rear brake reservoir to my brakes. Its old and needs replacing. I notice that this line is some type of woven line. Can I replace this with a fuel line? The same type of line that I would run from my gas tank to my carburetor…or would the brake fluid eat through the fuel line?

I am pretty sure the woven stuff you are seeing is just a protective coating -under it you will find a rubber hose / line.
