stretched stock 86 T3 swinger(pics)

after months of looking and refusing to pay the rediculous amounts of money that an aftermarket swinger brings i decidd to take things into my own hand....found another swinger on CL for cheap and went to work,made a jig that was welded to my welding table,started cutting ended up adding 4" to it,and completeley boxed it in.it is going out for polishing on monday,what do you think...ill post more pics when it gets back ...may have to copy and past then scroll through slide show

Here is TecateDan's that we did just a couple of months ago. Again, we did not use a jig but at least we had a work bench and sheilded wire this time.

looks good.....knowing the conditions needed to weld aluminum with a tig welder,i cant believe a flux core would even weld aluminum,the 2nd one looks nice after the paint was on it....good work......i guessing they held up alright so far?
