I ordered brand new OEM 85 250R kickstart gears - 84$ and 31$ at western honda. I'm too deep into this trike to mess around so I ordered them up. When I got them to my surprise they aren't much better than the ones I had! I thought the ratchet teeth came to a point but they don't. The large gear appears cut and ground while that small ratchet gear is a casting and not very well machined.
I guess I shouldn't care as long as they work.
