my 83 honda is building pressure in the crank case what could be wrong with it and how do i fix it?

It could be a bad piston ring. Piston aircraft engines I work on usually blow oil out the oil filler when they start getting tired.Put the engine at tdc and hook up a differential compression tester and then remove the oil fill plug and listen for blow by. This is assuming it is a 4 stroke

hey, first check the oil level with the dipstick screwed in. if it is over full it will blow it out.

I got a new trike, someone left the gas on and it filled the crankcase
Yes it started but blew fluids out of every seal soo..agree x2 with 4cylinders
Other than that? plugged crank breather tube?
Mudbees around here will plug ANYthing.
also 2fiftyr comment about blow by is perfect, but sad if you need rings or piston.

Grab a copy of the service manual for your trike, it will spec the proper oil to use. Most likely 10w-40. Be sure to use conventional oil, not synthetic!
