I have my 1985 200X, needs rear caliper and to be rebuilt. Have most the parts, I also get to keep the brand new tires. The guy has a 1983 225 Shaft. He says it has full suspension. He can drop it off and grab mine this weekend. Heres pics of his, it's running.
I'm wondering if anyone can verify the model?11638111638211638311638411638511638611638711 6388116389

Seat is in excellent condition, a few holes in front plastic (liscence plate), its tooken apart though, needs a little engine work.

Your is taken apart and his runs. I would trade in a heart beat. Also you will have e-start,full suspension and shaft drive. The 225DR is a great trike and not much heavier than a 200X. If anyone wanted to trade my non-running 200X for a running 225DR I would grab it and not think twice.

That is a DX, not a DR (no reverse).

But is it worth it?

Did the 225 have Shaft in 83? I can see it is Shaft drive but thought Shaft was after 83, could be me mixing up numbers in my head though!!!

I would do it in a heartbeat, also your getting to keep you back tires, the plastics look good, but you're missing the battery box, and the shock is pretty beat, start it and listen to the motor, really hear for loud ticking, mine runs great and has always had a slight tick when running. It looks more like an 85 but could be an 84 should be a sticker on the frame that tells the date

Mike's right, I have a problem calling them all DR's when they are not, and I know it because I have been looking for a true DR for a while.

What its worth in dollars is very relative to where you live, but the Yamaha is worth more because it runs and isn't taken apart. Also they are an awesome trike packed with features and a bit lighter than the 250SX, but no reverse.
