Hey, I have a leaking coolant hose and was wondering if anyone knows any online companies that would still carry one. It is the hose that attaches directly to the head. I tried to use some regular heater hose but didn't like the way it kinked. Any other suggestions? Any molded hoses off of other models (even golf cart hoses) that might fit? I was thinking about looking for one on ebay but would hate to get a used one that might leak or one that the integrity isn't that great. Thanks for any help or suggestions as to what anyone may have used instead of OEM or where to find a new OEM. Or if anyone is selling one that is in decent shape let me know. Thanks, David

Call 1-800-860-0686 genuine discount yamaha parts. They have just about any stock part you will need.

If you put springs in the hoses where the bends are they won't kink. i did this on my Z instead of buying the 20.00 yamaha hoses.

Hey, good idea about springs in the hoses. Did you just pick those up at the hardware store? I am guessing the gauge/stiffness/diameter of the spring doesn't need to be that thick. Do you have any further input on length of spring etc.? Were you meaning only place springs at the bends or just one big spring throughout the width of the hose. Thanks, David

I bought them at the hardware store. The length is up to you but i cut them just long enough to cover the bends so that they would not kink. i have ran it for 2 years with no problems.
