my friend just told me at school today his cousin's have 3 87R's!!!!! he said one has a blown motor and the other are running..... they are completely stock too!!!! he is gana buy the unoperational one for 100 bucks and we are gana restore it!!!!

he said they had white plastic with a black engine and red front forks... i will probably go check it out this weekend...

yes they would Jeb, sounds like a 85-86 with white plastic.......or Posibly, someone replaced the engine with a 85 250R engine, or maybe it was painted

No 87's exist, hell MR ATC hasn't even seen one. Your friend is bullshitting, even if the title says 87, the frame says 85 or 86 guarnteed. The only 87's we've seen parts to or parts off of are 350X's, 200X's, 250SX's, and the big red I believe. The 250R is the rare one even if they made one I doubt we would ever see it.

It might be true according to this article, but you'd have to be (or got them from) Canada.

Look in the 250r pic at the right, it says the R can be purchased in Canada in '87. Then look at the graph below the pic. It says '87 250r, read the last thing, it says Available in Canada only.

I would like to see where you have seen 87 350x's. And HRC I thought the 87 rs were supposdly white? :?

We've seen parts off 87 350X's. The speedometer and tachometer are popular items. There are several other items but not that I can remember.

I don't know what color '87 R's were supposed to be, just passsing along the writing that says they were made in '87.

The speedo and tach don't mean that '87's existed, they were Hondaline accessories available before '87.
