I had just posted about a little leakage of the black clarke tank. The shrouds dont line up worth a damn on that tank either. Would it be possible to efficiently paint the stock tank black. What kind of paint would I use is so? I hope I get the leak fixed, but this is my backup plan

I have never painted a plastic fuel tank, but I have painted plenty of plastic things with the Krylon Fusion paints and I can say that they work great on plastic. They go on fairly thick too, so they kinda level out any little imperfections. Just clean the tank with alcohol, then scuff it up with a pad, then I would wipe with alcohol once more to remove plastic particles and you should be good to go.

You cant paint a plastic tank unless it has had a sealer/liner put in it. The paint will just peel off.
