I love it that the Supertrapp Posted one of the highest HP numbers. Awesome Post. This should really be stickied somewhere, or put onto the site for future reference. Maybe repost it in the 200x Group?

Sweet thanks for posting. Kinda crazy how many pipes were available at the time. Now you can hardly find any of those, even used.
It looks like the stock system ranks right up there with the aftermarket pipes as far as horsepower goes, and is even better than some

28 exhausts, wow. The sad thing is that is not even all that was offered for the 200x. I have two 200x exhausts that weren't even listed on there. Awesome article

Don't forget guys that those number are with a stock motor. It's no suprise to me that a restricted super trapp would give the best results.
If it was a full race motor I bet the results would be very different.

this is an awesome article.
all of the hp/torque specs of all the after market pipes crushed the stocker in the bottom to mid. at wot the stock pipe was hanging in there. it would be cool to see what happened to the h/p if they woke up the stock motor with a cam and re tested

Time to bring this thread back from the dead. Took me awhile to find this exhaust shootout, there are lots of people looking for old school exhaust systems these days.
They're often hard to find, but they pop up once in awhile. A Coffman system was on Ebay recently, unfortunately id was pretty beat up...

I'm surprised I haven't seen more of these makes over the years, some I've never heard of. Bassanis and supertrapps seem to be more common, dg still makes there's. But I have never seen an fmf for example. I guess its just a matter of what was more popular then has left the survivors today.

Look at the 9000rpm HP rating on the Powroll lol .
Luckily I picked up a NOS one from them
Right before they went out of business .
I’m sure these numbers would be way different on built motors , Powroll & TC used a much bigger head pipe .
