I just recently completed my motor build also. I cannot say one way or the other as far as which dome you should use but I can say that I have a cool head on mine and also have several different domes. I ended up using my 18cc dome and I ran compression tests and its pumping rite at 218psi. I'm now running leaded 112 octane VP fuel and I am very pleased with the power increase that mine is producing. But as far as headgaskets I stuck with the oem gasket and did not alter it in any way. Also for the most part are mods sound fairly close to being the same with the exception of I used an airbox eliminator and a 39mm PWK carb and a V-Force reed cage. I hope this gives you the info. that your looking for.

You'll need to do a compression check see what it's Putting out
So run the motor get it hot than quickly do a compression check.
Before anything run race fuel 110 !
What carb ? Needle number & clip position, main jet , pilot jet ?
Since u have a shaved head with a CR gasket just try that & see what your getting report back with numbers.

Main jet & pilot are about right, I would bump the main
To 185 jet to be safe and break it in.
You'll need to do a Compression Check, report back with numbers.

Ok, you'll need Race Gas - VP 110 octane
O - rings are really nice to have, you'll never need a gasket
Just o-rings.
