yes i was wondering if any1 can tell me if 85 t3 brakes are a direct swap with a 86 t3. please can i get some help with this thanku. PS: I NEED OF 86 T3 REAR BRAKE CALIPER AN SEAT thanku

The calipers are the same, but the brackets are different. The 85 calipers can be modified to work on the 86. I had a thread on how to do that a while back, I'll see if it's still there.

Yeah, the thread is gone. It's a shame because I had the whole process documented with pictures and everything. If there are any mods who are reading this, where the hell did my thread go?

Fabio is right. The key is in the bracket. Alot of machines used the same design on the caliper, but the mounting brackets were specific. I used a caliper off of a T-4 on my 87 T-3. But I had the bracket for the 3. But I know the bracket on the 86-87 were totally different, so ?? don't just take my word on that.

I made some nice threads and when they update the version of the bulletin board some threads get archived and fubar'd

I have always said people just need to swap the brackets. A new banshee brake probably works with a T3 bracket, but no one ever tries.
