1986 ATC 250r----Imperial Invasion Trike------ March, 2011

[Mr. Clean]

In an enclosed trailer.....my resto 250r....I was in the garage yesterday getting trikes ready for the Invasion. I realized this one had a spec of dust on it so I got the Mr. Clean detailing items and went to work.....pushed it out behind the house and made Mrs. Clean take some professional photos, and thought y'all might like to see it.............

Here is my facial expression when Mrs. Clean yelled out "SELL IT" and wow they say the camera adds 10 lbs well the way my shirt looks is more like 110 :( maybe time to quit drinking....:beer

really, I am still drooling over this thing. If I had to be a nitpicky a-hole I would say that some of the black parts should have a slightlyt lower gloss black on them. god I am an idiot for even criticizing that machine. there were no gold chains back then either. i want that thing

Yeah this was my first attempt at a trike restoration. I did not have this low hour 86r below at the time to compare to so I had to go with Internetz photoz, brochures and the little information of period correct I could find....The crated 250r was quite informative to me as many of the items were not "perfect", and that was years after I did this resto.......still so much more to learn......There are a number of items that are not "period correct"

Sorry to get a little off topic here, but Is that a coffman's muffler or a White Bros. on that 86 R? I have a white bros. exhaust system, but I never got to run it to see if it was designed for low/mid end power or topend.

Kinda old post but that whole exhaust system on the 86r is Coffman's, and it is still installed. I took it to the dunes last December and it was low/mid pipe.
