View Full Version : What do you use to edit videos?

I have PC and would like to find better editing software. With the one i am using i can't cut peaces of clips out, only full clips (from when i start shooting to when i stop). I would like to find some free or cheap.

What are you using? Windows Movie Maker, which is what comes with all odern copies of windows (XP, Vista, W7, ect.) has the ability to cut clips pretty well.

Yes that is what i am using.Maybe i just have fooled around enough.

Underneath the preview window in WMM, there is a set of buttons. On the left you have controls for moving the clip forward or back frame by frame, as well as the skip clip, pause, stop and play. To the right you will have 2 buttons, one is for splitting clips wherever you placed the time line, and the other is for capturing screen shots.

This video I edited together with WMM- nothing fancy, no expensive programs, just plain ol' WMM:
