View Full Version : 350X vs. 250r

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some input on buying my next trike. I am leaning towards the 350x due to the fact that I do alot of riding in the woods and don't see many wide open spaces(ie. sand). I have never ridden a 250r and from what I have read they are built to go FAST!!!!. I also like the fact that I won't be fouling as many plugs with the 4 stroke when I am forced to go slow in tight spots. Any feedback would be appreciated? also, what year 85 or 86?.
Thanks fellow trikeaholics

I had an 86 250R and I do a lot of woods. I never had a plug fouling problem but I ride pretty hard. There's nothing better than having a machine that rips hard and then blows by your buddies when you do get in the open areas. I've seen the 350Xs in action in the woods too and they do really good. It all boils down to what you want. There is a lot more aftermarket for the 85 86 250Rs.

350X hands down, right MR ATC.lol But seriously though the 350X is as fast as anyone needs to go, and it has all the trail riding capabilities any other trike has if not more. And it has honda 4 stroke reliability you can't knock that.

Hey there,
I also have both each 85's. For smooth deceiving type of power the 350x - it has all you need and does it pretty quietly and basically maintenance free. If you want the wildest ride, on off type power then the 250R is the one. I wonder what the weight diff is actually, it cant be too much the 250R is heavy compared to the light weight 85 Tecate.
Id say 350X it's fun to ride all the time snow and dirt and has a broader torque range for trails and woods riding
