350x barn find

Found this in a older farmers barn about twenty miles from me, gave 800 for it and brought it home. Runs real good. It is a 1986 model.
My question is: I know 1986 models had white fenders, and the ones here are red (aftermarket maier fenders) But it was made in 8/85 When did honda go to white, what month was the cut off for red?

no the ones on the back are maier.

the tag that says when it was built will also say what year it is... august, might still be 85

not sure the cut off, but that has the 86 wheels, boots , switch and tank decal. Its just like in the auto industry, the model yr usually is released mid yr the previous yr. You figure if it was manufactured in 8/85, it was probably sitting in showrooms for christmas of 85!! lol.

BTW - it is an 86 - my 86 has the same build date as yours.

OOhhh Yea I hear ya man ive got like 3 350Xs now all of em junk all of em have toasted top ends ie.trashed rockers and cams and heads,some guy came in to my work about a month ago bought an 85 for 300.00 bucks and it is sitting in my garage so i can put a fresh top end on it I never get a break with good finds.
