I recently bought a Wide Open fuel tank..they are the cheap version of a clarke tank. I took it out for a ride and the gas cap is leaking. Or at least I thought it was, but now looking closer, where the screw neck was fused or welded on, there is porosity, Would JB Weld on the inside work on this? Any other products that will work better?

115418115419115420i would recommend red Coat tank sealant.
It works well on plastic tanks and, it is red.
Or you can send it to me and I will see what I can do with my stuff. You just cover mailing cost both ways and it will be no charge.

have you tried contacting the seller or the company that made it? they may repalce it for shipping costs.

I deal with Wide open often through my shop. If this tank is 2 years or newer, they should replace it for free no problem.
