Ok i don't really know what your talking about but maby I can explain it better. Ok on the gas tank of the 85 250sx there is the petcock valve, when you remove the valve you have a brass tube at the top of the petcock and you also have one in the tank itself. I am asking if there is a way to remove the brass tube in the tank. Which look
like a guide for the petcock tube. Also I saw online it was also called a screen.

85 250sx?
On 3 or 4 of mine, they are plastic screen things about the size of a pencil broken in 1/2.
The only way I've gotten them out is to use a coarse thread lag bolt/wood screw/eye hook , gently get a 1/2 turn of a bite on it and hope it pulls out.
That's only to clean the tanks with acid or some other toxic mess.
There's prob a right way to get them out so leave it in if you can avoid removal and possible destruction
..and do not lose the 'o' ring if it has one.
