All Black and Red

Hey guys, I am trying to go all black and red on 85 250R I have the black maiers and the frame is red. Dont like the blue in addition to the other two colors. Any advice on a black and red seat and what about the fork boots. I am thinking black Any advice would be appreciated.

i have the same color scheme as well for my r i would go with the red boots

As for the fork boots, I would go with black personally, They do not fade and the will not get oil stained if you get a leak at the fork seals.

thank you guys. Mosh, I was hoping you would reply. I saw some of your wifes work on this site. AWESOME. I am just not sure. I like your seat. all black with the traditional 250R in white. The only thing red on mine is the frame. I was thinking maybe adding a little red into the seat if it was a similar red tint as the frame. Not real sure. The 350X looks pretty damn good. Do you know where I could get 250R decals that did not have the blue?
I was also informed that the 85 and 86 seat foams are a little different. How do you guys go about making these. Do you have an 85 form and an 86 form. Let me know

I'm doing black and red on my 84 200x, The Moshes are making me a red seat cover and bar pad with my shops logo on it. I like the red seat cover with black plastic. I saw this picture of a 350x on a google search and sent ot to Tammy as what I was looking for, turned out it was one of her covers. 115383

Thanks. I am sure you will get something figured out with color choice.

A guy named Harlan Lynse(sp) Makes the decals. I have some on my wifes R. He used Black and grey and red on the stickers. I am not sure how to get ahold of him, but there is info on this site if you do a search you should find his email, or maybe someone can post it here for you?

The foams are different.
85 was about 1.5 inches shorter/thinner than the 86.
The 85 foam is available new aftermarket, but you cannot buy 86 foam at all. No one currently has a mold for that 86 year that I am aware of. Personally, I would only recomend Hi Flite Foam as far as aftermarket.
Everyone else does not have the density correct and are usually too hard.
However, we are able to replicate it in the 86 height. So either way we can help you out there, or you could just buy a nice used seat that needs recovered in the height you want.

I have a good seat (85), but i would like it recovered with black seat and the 250R logo in white. If your wife makes this, does she make it to an 85 mold and ship the cover or do i send her my seat.

Where can I get the velcro fork covers. Mosh, the one on your wifes looks nice. Where can I get that

You can either have us do the seat for you which will cost more due to shipping, or she can make you a cover that fits your seat and you can cover it yourself.
She makes the fork covers and also shock covers too for the rear.
