Hello,I recently picked up an 85 ATC250ES Big Red and I am looking to lift in a couple of inches and change out the wheels to something more modern like a 12in sized rims. I know theres a few memebers on here that have done the lifts on their machines and also swapped rims. My question is for those have done all of this what did you need to lift the bike? and specifics would be appreciated and as far as the front wheel what spacers did you use and what wheels would be the easiest to put in on the Big Red. Thanks again for all your help!:D

Use the search function. Alot of guys have lifted BR's and done wheel swaps. I personally had to make a .200" shim to center my front wheel (aftermarket) on my ES

if you you want a 12" front rim, buy one that has a 2+5 offset & then buy a 1" wheel spacer. Th e 1" spacer will make it line up perfect, thats what I did on mine.
U can kinda see it in this pic...
