Anyways, i bought a new set of tires and wheels for my 1985 250es. let me know what you think of it!
Heres some pics.115059115061115062115063115054115047115049115 051115053
Dont mind the front wheel and tire. Still have the 25" stocks on it. and the stock wheel. Ordering a front in the next few weeks after a couple paychecks..
I also thought id say a few things about the performance of the 26" kenda bearclaws, and the 12" itp ss 212 machined wheels.
The bearclaws imporved my performance by more than i imagined they would when i ordered them. We have around a foot, maybe 14 inches of snow at my cottage, and it has no troubles with traction at all. Rear end doesn't even slide ( which i miss a bit ).
Driving through the forest we own was not an issue at all, she grips great.
There is a powerline trail, that goes from quebec to ajax, the weekend before i couldnt even get into the trail let alone climb the hills. When i got the tires, the next day i went to that trail, drove it for maybe an hour before turning around, went up hills very easily, even though we have double the snow we had when i tried it with the stockers.
Hills where i had to sit on the tank because of the front end wanting to lift she climbed like nothing.
All and all, these tires kick the crap out of my 26" Mudlites i have on my 400 foreman, i took them off of that, tried them on my big red a few weeks ago. They performed quite well, but not even half as good as the bearclaws.
However, this is only in the snow i am talking about, all of the mud holes are frozen over so i can't try them out in the mud. (but the mudllites were crappy in the mudwhen i tried them.) But i think they willl perform just as good as they do in the snow in the mud, and trail riding. The added width, and the added weight works wonders for traction and stability. Just thought id say a few things about kenda bearclaws for whoever in between tires for their Utility Atc.
I highly recommend this tire for anyone who needs new tires.

As for the wheels, well, they look good. So i like them. haha

Sorry for the random pics on the bottom. Don't know why they are there. haha.

That wheel/tire combo looks great! I can't wait to see it with the new front tire too. What kind of tire have you decided on for the front? How wide are those rims? No clearance problems? I'm looking to replace the worn out original tires on my 250es also. Appreciate the feedback and thanks for the review and pics.

looks nice man!! Also curious as to what you will use on the front?? Gotta figur they will be beastly in the mud also.

For the front i might also go with a bearclaw. Just because they look very nice on them, or maybe a mudlite for a lighter choice. I'lll get the same wheel for my front( The two rears costed about 530$ with everything. So i need to wait a bit to buy the front, Not made of money! haha). The rims are itp ss212 machined finish 12" wheels. They are 7 inches wide, with a two inch offset. I have about 3 inches between my sidewall, and my exhaust. Thats not an issue at all. As for the tire, i could have fit a 28-29 inch under there i bet with no lift. The 26" fits fine, Actually, its shorter than the stocks. ( balloon tires that are 25" are around 26.5" )
Can't wait to get out of the snow, and into the mud!
