Hi Performance ATC frame that had a yamaha R5 engine in it. The R5 is a 2 cylinder 2 stroke 350cc non reed valve engine that was the predecessor to the RD350 engine. Not like you find these kinds of things everyday in the backwoods in a big old barn/garage just south of the city of Baltimore Maryland.

Here's the story. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php?91945-I-finally-found-one!!&highlight=i+finally+found+one

This is exactly how it looked when I picked it up. I didn't even put air in the tires yet.

This is how it looked after a good cleaning, rebuilt carb, and repainted tank due to a dent.

Got this from my buddy who had it for two years in the back of his shop behind an unfinished jeep project. He found it in a barn non running and got it for his kids. I hounded him to buy it from the first day I saw it but he kept saying he was going to get it running for his kids. I must have worn him down or caught him in a weak moment because he said $400 cash today and its yours! Got it home, cleaned the carb and my daughter has been riding it ever since. This pic is right before I loaded it up to take home. Not as cool as the finds above but I sure was excited to get it. http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx81/bansheekx/100_2396.jpg

Like this one that set forgotten from 1982 until late last summer...

I picked this up from a guy who kept it in a lean two as a spare, in case they ran out of quads, go figure. He didn't even know it had oil to change. Fortunately it didn't get ridden much. Picked it up for $200, didn't run. Fresh gas, spark plug and a carb clean and it runs like a top. Completely original. It needed a tail light lense, and un-bent foot pegs, which I found. Still waiting to find a perfect choke cable and it will be just like the day it was made.

Exactly how I rolled it out of my trailer. Paid 225 for it, Put 400 into it ( tank, battery, cdi, and stator ). Frames bent but who cares, its a workhorse

114658 Heres my barn find. Guy got it from his family members that let it sit in a barn for 17 years. All he did was poor fresh gas in it and road it around the yard before he sold it to me. All I've gotten to do so far is change the oil and filter and wash 17 years worth of chicken poop, dust, and straw off of it. Still runs awesome, instant throttle response. Almost fells like it pulls harder than my 400ex,(I think it might be the front tire hangin about 8inches off the ground through the first 3 or 4 gears that help!!):D:D

114659114660114661114662114663Here is a before and an "as of now" picture of my 85 tri-z barn find....got some NOS low pros and a DC plastics front fender to add soon..I now have the insane amount of $173 invested into this trike....that includes the purchase price, some e-bay sales of extra parts, and the low pro maire's / DC front fender which I have not installed yet.

What happened was, i ended up trading the alt 125 for a 86 350x, and i guess the people lived in a bad part of town, they left for vacation and someone stole it!! Really pisses me off! That was a rare little piece.

Mine was more a garage find then a barn find. Was looking for another 70. Young guy got in touch with me about a 70 he had. He had traded a gas rc car for it. The guy he got it from had it sitting in a shed for years. He send me some pics and we negotiated a price. When I got there he handed me a dealership minila envelope. Inside was all the paper work. It came with the cert. of origin, warranty book, warranty card, thumb throttle adjustment screw and the tag that hung from the bars and the trikes manual. Im the third owner.

Pretty much, everything on the trike was intact and worked as it should, 22 original miles.
