Ok. I don't know the history of it , if any parts have been rebuilt ect.ect. By the way it looks , i might give him about 400 bucks for it . Only if i could hear it run and ride it.

Does it run? I see a few good items - looks like 85? 250R headlight, clarke plastic gas tank, and either bassani or DG pipe. I would say in decent running condition - $450 lowest dollar for somthing like that around here. I also see a YT 125 or 175 burried under the snow peeking out in the first pic. Whats the deal with that?

When i last talked to him a couple days ago the guy said it runs, its got the bigger tank on it, and needs nothing. looks like it would be lots of fun in the snow. Ill make him an offer, ill ask about the YT too see if i can get it for cheap i use to have one they fix up nice. thanks guys

Most of the time when a seller says "needs nothing" this is what it needs....new chain and sprockets, front wheel bearings, rear axle bearings, swing arm bearings, brake pads, front and rear brake caliper pins freed up, air filter, and an oil change....this is the short list and just based on my experiences with trikes that looked in similar condition.

If the motor is quiet, oil clean, suspension is tight, has 250SX Hdlight might be AOK :D

SO TRUE!!! that quote is damn near sig worthy.. I find this to be true with almost all "deals".. typically if a person is up on the maintenance he also knows what his bike is worth..

I'd keep your 250es, especially for snow. If you want a sport trike, get a 350x.
Just replace the one-way bearing for your slipping kicker, or just use the electric start.

Definitely keep the 250ES. But you never know till you here it run, and how common they are in your area. I would say the 400-600 range is fair, less if they are common around you. All depends on what it really needs. Some people have thrashed plastics but still maintain bearing and stuff, other don't. But some real nice looking machines are equally trashed. My 200X looked a lot nicer but was beat down in every way possible. I was told it needed nothing, drove 250 miles to go look at it, and it was pretty ragged, cracked and welded frame, worn carrier bearings. I picked it up anyway and don't regret. They are a real fun trail machine and parts for the 1st gen 200X are about the cheapest and easiest to get for any trike.

got a little more detail on it. its got aftermarket exhaust and tank, hes got the original tank (missing air scoops), and exhaust to come with it. hes got extra rear tires and rims. seat cover is starting to crack, and the rear brake caliper needs seals. he wants 625$ shipped to me.

Those look like aftermarket rear fenders(possibly lo pro, but I'm not too familiar with the 200x's, someone would give you a decent amount for those).

IDK about buying a trike site-un-seen. Seems risky to me.

tank is missing air scoops, pipe sounds great but needs to be sanded and painted. itp tires are fairly good, one of the rims has a dent in it. More info: fork boots are shot, plastic tank was painted and needs to be sanded to look good again, front fender is complete but had cracked in past and is stitched with zip strip, rear fenders are stock and rebuilt and are stronger than original???, the grab bar is custom.

625$ hows the price looking?
Thorpe

Price looks like your gonna have to tear into that trike, and put it back together... If you break the price down to $325 for the rifle, and $300 for the 200X, then you are overpaying on the .308
