been awhile guys but have not had time for the old 350x lately but I finally got tired of the kids bugging me when the atc was coming out with the snow we have gotten lately so I had some motivation...lol

now the question....I took my stock carb apart because last time it was running I was barely getting 1/4 throttle ...I had asked what everyone thought and they said probably dirt in the carb so remove and clean....well when I took the carb apart I found that the throttle valve did not have the 2 screws that attach it to the arm attached......how was this carb functioning with that big piston floating free in there??? it ran fine when I first got it and then all of sudden started acting up....just curious....thanks...

by the way took it all apart cleaned everything up fresh gas and she is running like a top just need some more snow to pull the sleds.....:Bounce

NICE!! The throttle valve or slide has just one phillips head screw (on the shaft) and a nylon type washer next to it.

Inside the top half of the carb there are 2 tiny phillips head screws in the throttle valve/slide itself, they hold the jet needle. Don't strip those puppies, get a really good screwdriver! before you dive in.

Good luck!! Sounds like your running well and sometimes it's better to leave things well enough alone, before you create 3 other problems.......

I got it all fixed now.....those 2 tiny screws are the ones that were not installed by a previous owner just wondering how it was running without them installed...
