cant find any power??

i have a 225DR and somebody took out the stock headlight and put in an aftermarket offorad light for a truck or something. fits nicely and actually looks good too but no one ever hooked it up. just wondering if anyone knows where i wouldbe able to get 12V DC from the bike? its got no battery in it, would i be able to tap into a wire coming right off of the rectifier?

I think people get updated stator / ignition coils aftermarket or rewind their own in
order to run hot lights and other stuff.

If you can find the amperage draw or wattage of your stock headlight bulb,
you'll prob have to stay close to that load on the elect system.

Dragging heavy cirrent thru your rectifier that (allegedly) provides dc current to the cdi
and coil may make for and unhappy situation for those delicate electronics.

No battery?

Is it supposed to have one?
