ATC200S Value

I'm looking at a 1986 ATC200S locally. The gent is asking $500. it has a plastic tank, the rest of the plastic is good. It has racks front and rear. It starts easily, but won't idle. The headlight is quite dim. It has great rubber.

Does that sound like a fair price? Is the idling issue any big deal?

Idling issue is most likely a dirty carb, should be fine. 500.00 for an 86 anything is a pretty good deal, especially if it has good OEM plastics and isn't all ragged out. I'm sure you can snag a good gas tank either here or on Ebay.

Pics would help. Is it rusty? Is everything functional and tight? I'd say you got a little leverage with the idle issue... go for 4 bills?

Everything works, no rust, and it rides great. It is missing taillight, otherwise all there. There is one small crack in th eplastic by the left foot peg.
