My co-worker told me he has a blue ATC90 sitting in his yard and he want me to have it if I tune up his 68 ct90 he just got. He says the foam is gone and it only has two wheels, both flat. Now we are talking an Alaska yard, outside and I am guessing its pretty bad. Did show him a picture off the web of a 71 and he said that was it. I know the tires are worth a million dollars ea if they are good, but I doubt they are good. What else should I look for when I go get it? Dont really feel like doing a restore, if its even restorable. And I hate to canabalize these old hondas. Any advice would be much apreciated. Thanks

You can swap out the old style axles for '75 and up axles and use regular tires and rims

You might want to see what its worth, sell it to someone who would restore it and buy a more common one, that runs good. Depending on what its worth you might be able to sell or trade and upgrade to a bigger, more modern trike without doing anything to it.

But also if you are careful when riding it, and just take care of it and paint the frame and other parts it will last a long time, 90 engine parts are cheap and easy to come by. Guess it really depends what condition its in..pics.

If you can do the tune fairly cheap I would say go for it. The US90 might be worth parting out. I'll take the front fender if it's decent:D Maybe some other parts too. Let me know. You'll probably run into the same issues I have in Canada with US90's. They are not common and shipping sucks.

I will have my buddy take a picture of it with his fancy shmancy iphone and when he sends it to me, I will post the picture(s)

If your looking for something to go places in the woods up here an ATC90 is not it.

I like 200XMichigan's advice!
See if your buddy would be interested in trading it for a 1973 CT90. I have one I've lost interest in. It's missing a few parts but all the metal is straight and not at all rusted through. It needs a set of breaker points and battery for it to run; the engine turns good and has compression. I would have to see the ATC90 first before making any final deals of course.

I know this leaves you trikeless; hold out for something with full suspension. I've seen a few R's and some 200x's on Anchorage Craiglist recently. I can keep my eyes peeled if you now what you're looking for too.
