the 200cc top end bolts right on. from there you can order performance pistons and such. as mentioned the 200x top end drops on and that will really wake it up. what it really comes down to is, how much $ do you really have to spend (not want, but actually have) will determine your best course of action.

Back in the day there were several weld on kits for the rear end of the 185/200 trikes. they came with a swing arm, tabs, and shock. Haven' seen one in decades. I personally have 3 or four of swingers that would fit but will not let them go as they're from Nicholson and are spares. I've got the Fox shocks to go with them but they arn't going either. The last one I had rebuilt cost over $250 since now you have to go to a couple of different vendors.
IMHO, find a 200x roller and swap the motor and make it an AutoX, its a common swap.

you can get a stock 200 piston kit and bore your current clyinder to fit the 200 piston, just buy the 10.25 wisceo std bore 200 kit the 185 cly is thick enough to do this

These are pics of my bolt on kit, not the gold zinc plated plates that bolt onto the rear of the frame and the upper part of the frame to attach the swingarm, the rear frame braces and the upper shock mount. These bolt on plates are what makes this a bolt on kit. The more uncommon of the 2 kits. I know of only 3 bolt on kits right now. There are many weld on kits and whole aftermarket frames which I will show in the next pictures.

so i could bore it to fit that piston? and would that be better than putting a 200x top end on my engine?

your best bet is to take a true 200 jug and order a wiseco piston that's the next size up from the bore. stock is 65.. so i'd go to like 66mm jsut to maek sure you have plenty of room and have no pits or ruts left. sandblast the jug, repaint and go. (top end gasket kit is $30 and wiseco piston is $130 shipped. jug ($35 shipped usually)
you then have to decide on if you want to a 200x head (or top end if you got it) or order a better cam for your current head, have new valves isntalled with a nice valve job and run it that way. I'll be honest. I sped over $800 on my 200e top end. I went all out for performance and stability.
bored jug to 66mm
wiseco 10.5:1 comp (soon to move to 12:1)
web stange-3 cam
web hard welded rockers
web performance valve springs
web titanium retainers
web 1mm oversized valves
CNC valve and seat work
CNC bowl and porting work to head
it;s a beast of a bike that's for sure now. it wheelies through 3 gears and it's a 200E modified running a 250sx front end.

Any thoughts gentlemen??

It's definitely different from my kit. My support arm is longer and attaches to a lower point on the stock frame. My swingarm is different also. I would have to say it's from a different company than mine. Good snag though. You'll like it.

It appears that your kit and mine have the same rear shock. What brand is the shock?

It's a works shock.

Cool. I think I may take the 200s I recently picked up and drop that motor in the frame.

More than likely your float level is incorrect. Check this link.

had this same problem. i thought it was really odd but i was hooking up the gas line in the wrong spot. hook up the gas line to all the holes you can find and see which one works. i bought a brand new carb and it was doing this but thats what fixed it lol
