I'm thinking about buying a 225DRN in good shape. I just dont want to pay decent money for the thing only to find a part like the CDI goes out in a couple of years. Are there any places that carries parts for the 225dx and 225DR anymore??

I really appreciate the help. I hope there are some parts still out there b/c I love this bike.

Thanks

I would buy it, I was worried when I bought my Yamaha YT175 that parts would be a problem, but they haven't been at all. It has also been one of the most fun trikes I have owned. I believe the 225DRN shares parts with a Yamaha Timberwolf 4 wheeler. The 225DRN is awesome, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. I was worried about parts for the YT175 and I have found tons locally, have a spare CDI on my shelf, picked up the whole parts trike for $53. People often get rid of the less common ones cheaper when something does go wrong since parts are harder to find. Also I believe CDI's can be modified from other machines if the need be.

If its in good shape and you love it I would grab it before someone else does.

i just bought one myself the other day.i only got to drive it once so far but i can tell you its fun as hell, pretty damn quick too, sounds wicked with a cobra exhaust if thats something you like. its a wheelie machine, gotta be careful with it. If it is in good shape for a decent price i would buy it
